    • Lumbar laminectomy
    • Spinal fusion

    And endovascular surgery for:

    • Carotid stenosis
    • Stroke, brain attack or cerebrovascular accident
    • Aneurysm coiling
    • Intra-arterial thrombolysis

    • 3D Biplane Imaging Technology

Froedtert South provides the highest standard of neuroendovascular surgery with state-of-the-art angiography-biplane imaging technology and experienced neuro interventionists. The 3D biplane technology greatly expands treatment capabilities for stroke, aneurysm and other life-threatening neurovascular conditions by allowing enhanced, 3D visualization of the brain. This technology produces sharp, continuous snapshots inside the blood vessel, enabling the specialist to maneuver a catheter through the arteries of the neck or brain.

    • Dr. Arvind Ahuja

Dr. Ahuja, a practicing neurosurgeon since 1995, leads the Neurosurgery Department. Dr. Ahuja has managed over 10,000 cases, making him one of the most experienced neurosurgeons in southeastern Wisconsin. Dr. Ahuja employs the Maximum Access Surgery approach to lumbar fusion, which reduces the dissection of muscle, decreases blood loss and hastens recovery. The ability to use both surgery and endovascular treatments enables Dr. Ahuja to take the optimal path for the treatment of aneurysms, minimizing hospital stays and decreasing recovery time.
