PASSION FOR PREVENTION AND HOLISTIC CARE

For Dr. Galbraith, medicine has always been about more than managing disease- it’s about helping people thrive. As an internal medicine physician, he serves as a first-line provider for adults 18 and older, managing common and chronic conditions while maintaining a sharp focus on what matters most: keeping patients healthy before problems arise.

“Preventative medicine is my primary goal with every patient,” said Dr. Galbraith. “I strive to educate and assist my patients so they can practice healthy living on their own terms. I do all I can to help my patients accomplish their functional, healthy lifestyle goals. Whether a patient needs an annual physical, assistance managing diabetes or hypertension or is searching for a trusted partner in their long-term health, I approach every patient with the objective of understanding their individual needs and goals so that I can build a unique care plan that works just for them.”

Dr. Galbraith brings a thoughtful, balanced approach to holistic care. He works in tune with every patient to explore lifestyle changes, preventative strategies, and a full range of medical options before determining where medications fit into the plan. His comprehensive, patient-centered approach reflects the best of modern primary care.

“I view medications as a helpful tool to reach our goals, but it’s not the only tool we have available. There are many non-medication tools we can try. I view the patient as a whole and consider their goals, history, habits, and concerns so that I can best determine our options and where medication fits into the plan. Then, I thoroughly discuss options with the patient so that we can make informed decisions together,” said Dr. Galbraith.

HAVE YOU BEEN PUTTING OFF SEEING A DOCTOR? IT’S OKAY. COME ON IN!

Dr. Galbraith has noticed a familiar pattern in his practice as of late: men who finally make a much overdue appointment- often after the loving encouragement from a spouse or partner. His message to those patients is simple and sincere saying, “It’s okay. Make an appointment with me. Come on in. This is an important step in caring for yourself and your family long term. There’s real peace of mind in being assured we are checking things out and taking any necessary preventative measures.” Dr. Galbraith has a knack for making the doctor’s office feel less intimidating. His calm, approachable manner helps patients feel at ease, whether they’re coming in for the first time in years or managing a complex chronic condition. So, stop putting off that check-up and make an appointment with your new partner in health- Dr. Galbraith.

A PRACTICE WITH FAMILY ATMOSPHERE

Dr. Galbraith’s path to medicine was shaped early. Growing up with a mother who worked as an ICU nurse, he was always curious about science, biology, and the world of healthcare. However, it was the human connections, not just the science, that ultimately led him to become a physician. “I worked in some laboratories, but something was missing there for me,” said Dr. Galbraith. “I wanted to interact with and directly help people, not be behind the microscope. What I love most about being a primary care physician is that I see my patients for several years and have the opportunity to build ongoing relationships. My practice has a family atmosphere. The staff all know our patients by name and our patients know us. We value and prioritize our patients which makes providing well-rounded, patient-centered care possible.”
